It only seems appropriate to spend those 90-something-degree Oklahoma evenings gathered on a back deck with friends, grilling and keeping cool with a nice cold drink. Pimm’s Cups, mojitos and margaritas are usually the first options that come to mind for light, refreshing summer drinks. But sometimes, after a day spent outside grilling and swimming, I find myself wanting a drink a little more akin to fresh peach cobbler and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. And the more I thought about it, of course, the more milkshakes kept coming to mind. Adding booze to a milkshake is definitely not an original idea but I wanted to come up with some flavor combinations that really felt like a summer dessert best eaten after a grilled meal. I felt like I had just the inspiration I needed.
